Riptide Builders helps Sunset Beach Turtle Watch Program purchase X-ray machine for turtle rehab center

Riptide Builders recently made a contribution to the Sunset Beach Turtle Watch Program (SSBTWP). The donation will help purchase an X-ray machine for the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center. Additionally, Riptide constructed several sets of beach stake kits to protect new nests.

“Sea turtles are a threatened species, and they rely on our beaches for nesting, so it’s important that we do our part to help with their protection,” said Robert Hill, co-founder of Riptide Builders. “At Riptide Builders, we are committed to doing our part to give back to the community where we live and work, and we are proud to support the important work that the Sunset Beach Turtle Watch Program is doing.”

The Sunset Beach Turtle Watch Program is a private, nonprofit program that solicits volunteers to help monitor turtle nesting at Sunset Beach, North Carolina. Volunteers record nesting sites, move nests that may be threatened, record turtle hatches and help hatchlings reach the ocean safely. Riptide Builders is a 2021 Sponsor of SSBTWP.
